The Heavy Pets

The Heavy Pets are a funked-up rock and roll band from South Florida known for their high-energy live shows and genre-blending sound. Their fusion of indie rock, funk, reggae, and jam has earned them critical acclaim, starting with their debut Whale in 2007. Other highlights include Swim Out Past The Sun (2011), featuring David Grisman, Strawberry Mansion (2018), and Put it in a Flower (2023), and a series of releases in 2025 celebrating their 20 years of music making. Opening set by Guavatron.

Where do we park? arrow down

The municipal parking lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue is across the street from the Bandshell. Please note it is no longer free - it is $2/hour! When it is full, look for street parking.

What if it rains? arrow down

The venue is an open air facility, covered by our new canopy. Shows are scheduled rain or shine.

Can we bring a picnic? arrow down

No outside food or drink inside the Bandshell, please. We have a fully-stocked bar, and we usually feature wonderful food vendors inside the venue. We also have a water refill station.
