Join the Miami Jewish Film Festival for its dazzling 29th Opening Night, featuring the French box-office sensation ONCE UPON MY MOTHER—a joyous, big-hearted crowd-pleaser that has charmed millions. Inspired by Roland Perez’s bestselling autobiography, this irresistible film transports you to 1960s France, where Esther Perez—played with radiant force by Leïla Bekhti—refuses to accept her newborn son’s dire prognosis and sets out on a decades-long mission fueled by devotion, hope, and the unstoppable power of a mother’s love. Shot with vibrant flair by Oscar-nominated cinematographer Guillaume Schiffman and filled with nostalgic French pop classics (including a cameo from icon Sylvie Vartan), the film blends humor, warmth, and deeply emotional moments into a cinematic celebration of family and resilience. Don’t miss this triumphant, joy-filled Opening Night premiere—an unforgettable reminder of how far love can carry us.

Where do we park?
The municipal parking lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue is across the street from the Bandshell. Please note it is no longer free - it is $2/hour! When it is full, look for street parking.
What if it rains?
The venue is an open air facility, covered by our new canopy. Shows are scheduled rain or shine.
Can we bring a picnic?
No outside food or drink inside the Bandshell, please. We have a fully-stocked bar, and we usually feature wonderful food vendors inside the venue. We also have a water refill station.
