The Miami Film Festival returns to the Bandshell with a screening of Milly: Queen of Merengue, a vibrant and emotionally charged musical inspired by the life of Dominican icon Milly Quezada. Plus, a Q&A with Milly herself after the screening. As a young girl, she flees the civil war in her homeland and emigrates to the United States, landing in the heart of 1970s Washington Heights, a neighborhood pulsing with rhythm, resilience, and the energy of the Latin Boom. Immersed in this new world, Milly sets off on a powerful journey of self-discovery, chasing her dreams and finding her voice, and rising to become one of the most influential women in Latin music history and the internationally acclaimed Queen of Merengue.

Can we bring a picnic?
No outside food or drink inside the Bandshell, please. We have a fully-stocked bar, and we usually feature wonderful food vendors inside the venue. We also have a water refill station.
