The Navikaran Quartet is an Indian Fusion ensemble led by tabla master Rajesh Bhandari. Navikaran means "renovation, renewal, or rejuvenation," reflecting their goal of creating a fresh, innovative sound in Indian music. The quartet's members include Pratyush Goberdhan (Violin/Sarangi), Kanada Narahari (Sitar/Surbahar), and Keshav Nelavai (Mridangam), along with Bhandari (Tabla), with original music that also incorporates electronic effects and synthesizers into the classical Indian form. The North Beach Social, Third Thursdays at the Bandshell, is the Rhythm Foundation's free monthly meet-up for our music-loving community.

Where do we park?
The municipal parking lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue is across the street from the Bandshell. Please note it is no longer free - it is $2/hour! When it is full, look for street parking.
What if it rains?
The venue is an open air facility, covered by our new canopy. Shows are scheduled rain or shine.
Can we bring a picnic?
No outside food or drink inside the Bandshell, please. We have a fully-stocked bar, and we usually feature wonderful food vendors inside the venue. We also have a water refill station.
