Infinity Machine (The Juan Maclean & Gee Dee of DFA)
Infinity Machine was founded by Gregory Droggitis (Gee Dee) and John MacLean (The Juan MacLean) in 2020 as a sound ceremony for small groups of friends who would assemble in intimate gatherings in Brooklyn. As the pandemic subsided, Infinity Machine formalized the project by playing live at music festivals and theaters and releasing three LP’s on DFA Records. As multi-instrumentalists, they incorporate instruments often found in ceremonial psychedelic settings: flutes, drums, chimes, gongs and the voice are backed by sparkly and ethereal synthesizers. Each live and recorded journey is entirely improvised and aimed at providing a sonic landscape for journeying and consciousness exploration. On November 30, Infinity Machine will debut 'A Prayer For The Earth', a performance meant as an offering to all beings both organic and inorganic. For this presentation at the Miami Beach Bandshell, Infinity Machine have partnered with dance choreographer Sandra Portal-Andreu and visual artists Rodrigo Arcaya and Peter Agudelo. Together, they will simultaneously weave sound, dance, and visuals for a truly unique and one of a kind immersive experience. This event is produced by The Rhythm Foundation, who have been presenting outstanding international music in Miami Beach for 35+ years. Bring your yoga mat to enjoy this immersive experience.
