Join us for Giants of Jazz - this time with boss nova inspired beats and samba driven rhythms! GRAMMY®-nominated guitar virtuoso Diego Figueiredo will perform his captivating original compositions uniting stellar technique and heart-felt emotion to create an elegant fusion of Brazilian music and jazz. Diego will be joined by special guests including GRAMMY®-nominated jazz percussionist, Sammy Figueroa and breathtaking flautist Magela Herrera. Figueiredo numbers among the world’s greatest jazz guitarists, one whom George Benson described as “one of the greatest guitarists I've seen in my whole life.” His superb technique, timing, and imagination have established him as one of the hottest international names in jazz guitar. Diego has collaborated and performed with Gilberto Gil, João Bosco, Roberto Menescal, Toquinho, Janis Siegel, Stanley Jordan, John Clayton, Cyrille Aimée, Jeff Hamilton, Terell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon, Bill Cunliffe, Dick Hyman and many others.

Where do we park? arrow down

The municipal parking lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue is across the street from the Bandshell, and it is $2/hour. When it is full, look for street parking.

What if it rains? arrow down

The venue is an open air facility, covered by our new canopy. Shows are scheduled rain or shine.

Can we bring a picnic? arrow down

No outside food or drink inside the Bandshell, please. We have a fully-stocked bar, and we usually feature wonderful food vendors inside the venue. We also have a water refill station.
