North Beach Social
Rooted in Puerto Rican bomba y plena, and electrified with Afro-Cuban, jazz, and global rhythms, David Rivera y la Bámbula blends tradition with a fresh, modern sound. Percussionist Rivera leads la Bámbula, driven by thunderous hand drums, call-and-response vocals, and irresistible grooves. Rivera’s leadership blends deep scholarship with raw performance power, honoring the African diaspora while pushing rhythmic boundaries forward. From festivals and concert halls to community gatherings, David Rivera y la Bámbula invite audiences to feel the heartbeat of the African Caribbean world. Opening set by Jacareo. This edition is co-presented by Rhythm Foundation, Escala Sonora, and Violet House, with support from City of Miami Beach.

Where do we park?
The municipal parking lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue is across the street from the Bandshell. Please note it is no longer free - it is $2/hour! When it is full, look for street parking.
What if it rains?
The venue is an open air facility, covered by our new canopy. Shows are scheduled rain or shine.
Can we bring a picnic?
No outside food or drink inside the Bandshell, please. We have a fully-stocked bar, and we usually feature wonderful food vendors inside the venue. We also have a water refill station.
