3rd Festival de Bomba y Plena

The 3rd Festival de Bomba y Plena is a free cultural event celebrating Afro-Puerto Rican heritage through music, dance, and community engagement. Taking place on October 25, 2026, at the Miami Beach Bandshell, the festival will feature performances by D'Pleneros, Los Capullitos de Alelí, JACAREO, and Miamibloco, along with an open bombazo inviting audience participation and community connection. Produced by Afro Borinken Roots Performing Group, Inc., the festival showcases the rich traditions of bomba and plena while creating opportunities for artists, cultural practitioners, artisans, and local businesses. Attendees will enjoy live music, traditional dance, cultural demonstrations, artisan vendors, and family-friendly programming in a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican culture. Since its launch in 2024, the festival has welcomed more than 1,000 attendees annually and continues to grow as one of South Florida's premier celebrations of Afro-Puerto Rican traditions.

Where do we park? arrow down

The municipal parking lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue is across the street from the Bandshell. Please note it is no longer free - it is $2/hour! When it is full, look for street parking.

What if it rains? arrow down

The venue is an open air facility, covered by our new canopy. Shows are scheduled rain or shine.

Can we bring a picnic? arrow down

No outside food or drink inside the Bandshell, please. We have a fully-stocked bar, and we usually feature wonderful food vendors inside the venue. We also have a water refill station.
