The 27th Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival will open at the Miami Beach Bandshell with the screening of the documentary "AmarElo - It’s All For Yesterday," by rapper, writer, and contemporary thinker Emicida - followed by a live performance. The documentary sheds light on the history of Brazilian culture and highlights events, movements, and black characters who were responsible for the historical and cultural formation of the country, but have been long overlooked. Emicida weaves together this narrative with a milestone of his own story, the show he played at Theatro Municipal of São Paulo in November 2019. Also featured are scenes of the creative process and studio recording of his album AmarElo, as well as backstage concert footage and interviews with Brazilian personalities. The inspirational starting point for the film includes three elements: AmarElo, Modernism, and Samba. The concept for "AmarElo - It’s All For Yesterday" was created by Laboratório Fantasma. The film was produced by Evandro Fióti with direction by Fred Ouro Preto.Buy Tickets
