Florida Grand Opera: Hit Me With Music
An Opera Reggae Concert! Florida Grand Opera teams up with the Rhythm Foundation and the City of Miami Beach to present 'Hit Me With Music', a family-friendly event at the Miami Beach Bandshell. Featuring musical selections from Beethoven to Bob Marley, this lighthearted exploration of common themes between the two genres and will include traditional reggae, opera, and a playful blend of the two styles. The Florida Grand Opera reminds us that, 'One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.' This Only-In-Miami experience is a special program of Florida Grand Opera, and will feature company members of the esteemed organization. FGO is the longest-running performing arts organization in Florida, and has been synonymous with world class opera in Miami for more than 80 years!
